Traversing Minnesota

Tuesday, August 2nd.  We awoke to cloudy skies and a few drops of rain.  We hit the road by 9:00 and after about 5-10 miles, entered Minnesota.  Not so much construction as in SD.  As we were heading east on I-90 we ran into our first rainstorm of the trip (while driving).  The sky is so big that you can see the rain coming for a long way and we drove right into it.   A good way to get the bugs washed off the windshield. I-90 intersects with I-35 near a town named Albert Lea.  In Seattle there's a chain of appliance stores called Albert Lee.  But I'm sure this one is different.  I-35 took us into the Minneapolis area, from where we headed east just across the St. Croix river to Hudson, WI and our campground.  We got a nice camping spot with 50 amp power (air conditioning in this heat and humidity is a plus).  But there was not water at the campsites.  So we had to rely on the shower/restroom building in the camp.  Very clean.  We were able to find a Trader Joe's nearby so we replenished our wine supply.  So in one day we traversed the entire state of Minnesota.
