Me w/ Chip and Diane

Monday, Sept. 5th.  Today was our last day in Detroit...in Michigan.  We've been in the State for about a month and what a great month it was.  This was Diane's last day to see Beverly.  So they went shopping and did other things together.  That afternoon I went to visit Chip Brown.  Chip was our next door neighbor when I was growing up.  Chip was always good to me and let me tag along with him a lot...until he got a Lambretta scooter at age 14 and his world expanded greatly.  He and his wife, Diane live in  Farmington Hills in a very nice neighborhood.  We had a great time reminiscing and catching up on the other neighborhood kids.  Chip has a neat model train set-up in his basement and we talked about playing with trains in years past.

That evening Di and I went to dinner with Bev and Jerry.  Then we went back to their house for a last visit with Mr. Laphroig.  We had a great time with them in the past week and we could only say good bye because of the knowledge that we will get together again soon.
